The Giza Sound and Light Show at a glance

The Sound and Light Show is an evening show at the pyramids. It is run by the Misr Company for Sound, Light and Tourism Development and has its own ticket. A day ticket for the plateau does not include it.

The show runs in 10 languages. The language offered depends on the day, so check the timetable for your date before you book. Dates and times can change.

Our picks: the sound and light show

Our take: both options bundle the show with a transfer, which saves the evening taxi. Neither replaces a daytime ticket for the plateau.

Languages and second shows

There is a first show, and a second show is possible. The second show goes ahead if at least 5 foreign visitors or 5 Arabic-speaking tickets are sold. Thursday is an exception to this rule. Shows booked through the operator's own website take priority and go ahead without a minimum number.

The language you want may not be offered every night. Look at the timetable for your date and book that language before you plan the rest of the evening.

Booking the show

The operator sells tickets on its own website, and a show booked there takes priority. The tour options above also include evening trips with the show, which helps if you want transport arranged. Compare what each option covers, such as the show ticket, a pickup and a guide, before you choose.

Times can change between seasons, so confirm the current time and language on the booking page for your date. The child price of $11 applies to ages 6 to 12. If your child is younger or older, ask the operator before you book.

Plan how you will get back to your hotel after the show. Taxis and transfers are easier to arrange before the show than at the end of it.

Plan your evening

The show is an evening add-on to a day at the plateau.

Pyramids by day

The plateau is open daily 08:00โ€“16:00. The ticket costs EGP 700 for foreign adults and EGP 350 for students in 2026.
